Abstract Eastern European consumers are traditional meat eaters who still not looking forward in order to substitute their meat-based dishes with analogues or substitutes. In general, vegetarianism is its infancy if we do take into account Lenten fasting, the period of year when Orthodox countries Europe one can find food containing meat, dairy and eggs, widely available. The highest proportion (42.9%) believes game has many health benefits, rich proteins more organic than other types meat. However, two thirds eat less once a year.
